One unit, one price
No plans, no tiers, no subscription. You buy units ahead of time, and each successful search uses 1 to 5 of them depending on its level of detail.

- A successful search call uses 1 to 5 units depending on the endpoint, whatever max_results you ask for.
- Only 2xx responses are counted. 4xx, 5xx, refused keys, rate limits, and an empty balance cost nothing.
- Buy any number of units you like, from 15,000 to 10,000,000.
- Purchased units are valid 12 months. Each purchase extends that date for your whole purchased balance.
- One balance for your whole organization: every member, every key.
- Units are credited as soon as the payment is confirmed.

What that means in searches
100 free units at sign-up, valid 90 days, that is 20 searches on /v1/page or 100 on /v1/urls.

The number of sources returned doesn’t change the price: only the endpoint does. A search that returns nothing costs too: it ran.

Never counted
- Error responses (4xx and 5xx). Any provisional count is reversed.
- Missing or unknown key (401), suspended organization (403), rate limit or empty balance (429).
- An empty balance. Calls aren’t run: 429, no debt, no automatic purchase.
- Everything in the portal: organization, members, keys, balance, invoices.
- Your account itself. There is no monthly fee.
Also counted
- A successful search with zero results: the price of its endpoint.
- A repeated identical search: the price of its endpoint each time. There is no idempotency mechanism.
- A 2xx response the connection dropped before you received it: it was produced, so it counts. Your usage log shows these calls and you can dispute them.
VAT and invoices
Prices are in euros excluding VAT. The total including applicable taxes is shown before you confirm. French businesses pay French VAT. Businesses in another EU country with a VAT number verified in VIES are reverse-charged. Outside the EU, no VAT applies. Invoices are available in your billing area.
Payment is handled by Stancer (France). Units are credited as soon as the payment is confirmed.
The schedule is part of the contract. Any change is announced at least 30 days ahead. It can’t reduce what units you already bought can do without your agreement; otherwise you keep your previous terms or the balance concerned is refunded.
Pricing questions
Is there a subscription or a minimum?
No subscription. The minimum purchase is 15,000 units, then any whole number up to 10,000,000 (the page suggests 15,000, 50,000, 150,000, 300,000 and 750,000). Nothing renews, nothing is refilled automatically, and an account with no purchase costs nothing.
What happens when the units run out?
Calls return a 429 and aren’t executed; nothing is deducted and no debt is created. Buy units from the billing page and calls resume. The Home page shows the balance and the expiry date.
Are unused units refunded?
Not for simply not using them, nor when you close your account yourself. You are refunded, at the price you actually paid, if ibou stops the service or your access without fault on your side, and for any payment made in error. Units wrongly counted are re-credited.
Can the price change after a purchase?
Not the price: what you accepted at checkout is final. The cost per call and validity of units you bought can’t be reduced without your agreement, or you’re refunded. Future purchases use the price shown before each order. Schedule changes are announced 30 days ahead.
